What does your life smell like? It may not be a thought you have ever had before, but each of our lives will give off a fragrance. What is yours?
My hope is that the life I choose to live is one that emits a sweetness. I desire to live with intention. Making each day count. I want my relationships and interactions with others to be positive and buffered by kindness, grace, and wisdom. I have no desire to live a haphazard life.
As a believer in Jesus Christ, especially in this cultural climate, I believe I am called to live my life in a way that aligns with God’s plans and honoring Him, while not attacking and shoving Him down the throats of those who are not interested in Him. It is my desire to live in such a way that others see a difference and are drawn toward Jesus through my day to day living – trusting that at some point I will have an opportunity to share the reasons why.
What smell does your life have? Does it honor the One who made you?
2 Corinthians 2:15-16 “Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume.”
May my life belong completely to the One who designed it. Mapped it out. And may the fragrance of my life be one that honors Him.
Blessings!
