Where do you go when you find yourself in a time of deep need? Do you seek help from those around you? Friends? Family? Co-workers? Do you try to push through and meet your needs on your own?
While I have no doubt we were placed here on earth to be present for one another and help one another, I believe we often look to others or self instead of looking to the One who can meet our needs – even our deepest needs – perfectly.
Instead of looking to others – instead of attempting to meet our needs on our own – what if we got into the habit of bringing our needs before the LORD? There is no cry for help that goes unheard. There is no criteria we must first meet before we approach Him.
He simply invites us to come. To cast our cares upon Him.
“I have heard all about you, LORD. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy.” -Habakkuk 3:4
There is no need that is too big. There is no need that is too small. God desires to meet – and is capable to meet – each and every need. We need only to bring it to Him.
